Sherrie’s education includes South Florida Junior College, Montgomery College, University of MD and Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA.  Sherrie worked at Providence Hospital in DC and Howard Co. General Hospital in Columbia. MD

She has been with the Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad for 35 years where she served as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Driver, Secretary, and Chairman of the Board of Directors.  She has also served on two area Home Owner Associations as Secretary and Chair of the area Architectural Committee.

Her hobbies include raising and showing Chartreux cats.  She serves as head of the Chartreux Breed Council.  She also enjoys gardening and Motor Home traveling.

Her goals for her position with RRPOA are to maintain a clean, orderly, peaceful quality of life in River Ridge in harmony with the natural surroundings and to serve as a mentor to any present or new residents of River Ridge.

Sherrie and Steve plan to build on their lot in River Ridge within the next 5 years, but are still looking at house plans.  Their lot has a cleared site at the top where they are planning to RV camp until the building plans are finalized.  They are hoping the camping will “give us a ‘feel’ for the land and the environment.”
